FAQ

What IS Content Warning?
How did you GET here? Go home! Well. Okay, we can reiterate...
We are an artist collective, geared toward uplifting provocative adult art and also community.
All work is voluntary and proceeds only go to production and charity to help marginalized groups and human rights organizations.
Content Warning is purposely taboo.
It is against using normality as a tool to censor, demean, or guilt what is ultimately important perspective and exploration.
Okay, so how much goes to donation?
Currently, the zine price is: $8.75
Production Cost: $3.00
Card Processing Fees: $0.75 cents
Donation: $5.00
If this ever changes, it will be updated accordingly.
What Organization?
For Issue #1. Proceeds will be donated to the
Trevor Project in support of LGBTQ+ youth.
Don't the artists get any money?
It was artists who decided this should be a community voluntary effort in the first place!
Everyone working on Content Warning has put in a TON of effort.
The artists, publishing, figuring out the layouts, communicating, and helping each other to get it all ready. All of it.
The main goal has always been about making this both accessible and easy for donating while building up community.
Why offer a "Donate What You Want" version then?
This is just as much for the community as it is to do something good outside of it too.
We made sure this zine is laid out so that it can be printed and put together yourself too, if you want.
Make it a little hangout and put it together with friends or something!
We just ask that you do something good for others c:
Isn't Taboo Stuff Bad!? What if kids get their hands on it? What if it makes furries look bad!?
Well. Let me ask you.
What's worse?
Being angry about everything and taking your guilt out on everyone?
Or...
Trying to explore weird subjects in a safe way as an adult while forming a community with people who may have gone through a lot of things themselves?
One of the top goals of destroying marginalized communities is the same as most control methods.
Dividing through guilt and shame.
Some of us actually like celebrating our weirdness and would rather bond and grow a tighter community that's harder to break apart.
So, just like drag queens supporting libraries and reading to underprivileged kids, burlesque shows funding sex safety orgs, really fucking weird plays that depict odd taboo things and also donate to various communities.
We are doing the same.
But what about the childre-
STOP LETTING THEM LOOK AT STUFF THEY SHOULDN'T.
GO OUTSIDE AND HELP THE ORGANIZATIONS WE'RE SUPPORTING.
MAYBE ACTUALLY TAKE CARE OF THEM?
THIS IS FOR ADULTS, TO BE VIEWED BY ADULTS.
But Furries Will Look BAD!
Do you really want furry to be taken over by clinically sterile corporate slop with the goal of removing any self-exploration that badly?
No one told you that you had to look at other sub-sections of the furry community. You can stop any time.
