Content Warning:
FAQ

What IS Content Warning?
How did you GET here? Go home! Well. Okay, we can reiterate...
We are an artist collective, geared toward uplifting provocative adult art and also community.
All work is voluntary and proceeds only go to production and charity to help marginalized groups and human rights organizations.
Content Warning is purposely taboo.
It is against using normality as a tool to censor, demean, or guilt what is ultimately important perspective and exploration.
Okay, so how much goes to donation?
Currently, the zine price is: $8.75
Production Cost: $3.00
Card Processing Fees: $0.75 cents
Donation: $5.00
If this ever changes, it will be updated accordingly.
What Organization?
For Issue #1. Proceeds will be donated to the
Trevor Project in support of LGBTQ+ youth.
Don't the artists get any money?
It was artists who decided this should be a community voluntary effort in the first place!
Everyone working on Content Warning has put in a TON of effort.
The artists, publishing, figuring out the layouts, communicating, and helping each other to get it all ready. All of it.
The main goal has always been about making this both accessible and easy for donating while building up community.
Why offer a "Donate What You Want" version then? Why is there also a free version?
This is just as much for the community as it is to do something good outside of it too.
We made sure this zine is laid out so that it can be printed and put together yourself too, if you want.
Make it a little hangout and put it together with friends or something!
We just ask that you do something good for others c:
Isn't Taboo Stuff Bad!? What if kids get their hands on it? What if it makes furries look bad!?
Well. Let me ask you.
What's worse?
Being angry about everything and taking your guilt out on everyone?
Or...
Trying to explore weird subjects in a safe way as an adult while forming a community with people who may have gone through a lot of things themselves?
One of the top goals of destroying marginalized communities is the same as most control methods.
Dividing through guilt and shame.
Some of us actually like celebrating our weirdness and would rather bond and grow a tighter community that's harder to break apart.
So, just like drag queens supporting libraries and reading to underprivileged kids, burlesque shows funding sex safety orgs, really fucking weird plays that depict odd taboo things and also donate to various communities.
We are doing the same.
But what about the childre-
STOP LETTING THEM LOOK AT STUFF THEY SHOULDN'T.
GO OUTSIDE AND HELP THE ORGANIZATIONS WE'RE SUPPORTING.
MAYBE ACTUALLY TAKE CARE OF THEM?
THIS IS FOR ADULTS, TO BE VIEWED BY ADULTS.
But Furries Will Look BAD!
Do you really want furry to be taken over by clinically sterile corporate slop with the goal of removing any self-exploration that badly?
No one told you that you had to look at other sub-sections of the furry community. You can stop any time.

Artist Application

Before applying, here is what to expect.
The next Content Warning issue will be releasing for winter (February).
You will be working in a group with many artists.
If you have issues with any of these artists,
please consider what the goal of this zine is for.
Building a stronger community/donate to good causes/grow better outlooks of sensitive content in the fandom.
Try to work with them maturely, voice your problems to staff, or kindly step out of the project without causing a fuss.
We want to grow our strength as a community. Not weaken it.

_____________________________
You may not post complete images of any of your work on your own until the WIP issue has been released for some months or until donations slow/drop off.
We will then announce when it is okay to post your parts.
_____________________________
If your application is accepted, you will receive a message and invitation to the zine group with more detailed information on the work process and general instructions as well as just to chat.
Invitations will go out around September 1st.

General Information For Art/Work Stages
_____________________________
Zine work will be done in a 10 Stage Process, with 5 of these steps being your actual production for the zine.
_____________________________
Stage 1 - Getting acquainted with the other artists and staff for the zine once in the group. Sharing ideas, asking questions.
You will receive a general guideline/template for the zine.
Stage 2 through 6 - Your work on the zine will be split in to 5 deadlines with a reasonable and flexible time frame for each.
During these stages you will double-check and proofread your work or ask for assistance as needed.
Everyone is here to help!
You will also have set time frames you can advertise cropped WIPS or images from your work as noted in the group.
_____________________________
Staff Stages 7 through 10 - We will finalize all info and do last checks and proofreading, getting all the images together.
_____________________________
You will have roughly 4 months total
to work on your piece for the zine.

Each artist will be allowed up to 4 pages. These pages can be used for any type of art, not just comics.
There will be no set order for which section of
the zine you end up in. It is picked at random.
_____________________________
We hope to see you join in!~

Profile Picture to be featured with in the zine.

_____________________________
Did you enjoy the last issue of Content Warning? Send us your fan art so we can put it up on our fridge for everyone to see!
